It’s all about the Clubs!
Why join a club? A club gives our children an opportunity to explore more varied and healthier, activities. It also gives our children a comfortable place to meet others with similar interests. This often forms the basis for lifelong friendships. They learn new skills, teamwork and responsibility. It allows them to develop leadership skills and independence.
The goal of this group is to uplift the teachers so that they may provide a quality education to all students. Adults, like children need to know they are appreciated.
FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETICS
Our Vision: To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Our Mission: To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship or the church.
NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY (NJHS)
The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character.
PARENT TEACHER STUDENT ASSOCIATION (PTSA)
PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association. It is an organization of parents, teachers and students who VOLUNTEER to make a positive difference in our school. Danny Jones PTSA promotes education and extra-curricular activities at our school. Through fundraisers, we help provide programs, activities and resources for all students, teacher appreciation events, and donate much needed technology equipment for teacher/classroom use!
The Danny Jones Cooking Club is a Rachel’s Challenge Group whose main priority is to help students learn how to follow a recipe, create delicious food, and serve food to themselves, teachers, and PTA members. Students will have the opportunity to use kitchen utensils and equipment during Cooking Club. Students will learn about appropriate and safe operation and use of kitchen equipment. They are supervised at all times. Food safety is a priority and food allergies are disclosed.
Robotics is an invaluable resource for teaching science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills. It also develops critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving, along with other 21st century skills such as creativity, imagination, curiosity, and innovation. A curriculum that includes robotics provides students with the ability to take an active role in their own learning and forms a necessary foundation for their lives in the ever-changing world.
The mission of the Multicultural Club is to increase the awareness and understanding the world cultures among Danny Jones students and our community in general. We promote respect and acceptance of people from all cultures by celebrating diversity on campus and incorporating respect for people’s differences.
The goal of this club is not only to build better soccer players but build sportsmanship, confidence and leadership skills and teach students patience and the value of hard work. Our club will provide these community services: Mini- clinics for nearby elementary and intermediate students with focus on skill development and mentorship. Open practice opportunities for kids of Danny Jones faculty and staff.
